Avion Aerospace proudly hosted a groundbreaking seminar on Drone Technology and the Future of Research & Development in Bangladesh, held at the prestigious University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) on May 25th, 2025.
The seminar was led by Mr. Ruhul Amin Rana, Founder and CEO of Avion Aerospace, who delivered an insightful and forward-looking presentation on the current landscape, future potential, and technological advancements in the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) sector.
With the theme centered around “Empowering the Next Generation through UAV Innovation”, the seminar brought together students, faculty members, and tech enthusiasts from various disciplines to explore the rapidly evolving drone industry in Bangladesh. The session covered:
- Latest drone technologies and applications in agriculture, logistics, and surveillance
- Trends in global UAV development and their relevance to Bangladesh
- Career and research opportunities for students in the drone sector
- Challenges and solutions in implementing drone technology locally
- Avion Aerospace’s vision and contributions in advancing drone R&D
Mr. Rana emphasized the importance of local innovation, skill development, and university–industry collaboration to build a sustainable UAV ecosystem in Bangladesh. He also showcased some of Avion Aerospace’s ongoing drone projects and R&D initiatives.
The seminar concluded with a Q&A session where students actively participated, sharing ideas and inquiries about drones, AI integration, and entrepreneurship in aerospace technology.
UITS faculty members expressed their appreciation to Avion Aerospace for inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators. The event marked an important step towards fostering academic-industry partnerships and promoting high-tech innovation in Bangladesh’s aerospace sector.
